Sell it with usFrom a private collector, this Audemars Piguet Offshore is offered along with its outer and inner box, certificate of guarantee and authenticity and invoice of the additional lug screws and bracelet alteration. Also included are two AP alligator straps. Presented with some light marking, it falls within the seller’s ‘A’ grading.
Unlike any other ‘Safari’ models that left the AP factory, this particular example has been fitted with an authentic AP steel bracelet. The sale includes the original brown alligator leather strap, an additional black alligator leather strap and spare bracelet links for adjustment if required.
Unmistakably “AP”, with its distinctive angular case, hexagonal bezel, and integrated bracelet, the watch achieves maximum wrist presence. Expert hand-finishing is featured on the finely polished lug bevels and the bezel. The Offshore is distinguished from the standard Royal Oak by the robust bezel gasket and rubber-clad crown and pushers. The dial has a “tapisserie” finish - a look synonymous with line. The watch is equipped with a 12-hour chronograph displayed in sub-registers. Powering the watch is the in-house calibre 3126/3840, boasting a 55-hour power reserve, chronograph and date complications.
The Offshore shocked the industry when it was announced almost 30 years ago with its robustness, thick profile and, of course, 42mm stainless steel case.
All watches offered for sale are searched and cleared against The Watch Register database and a certificate is available to the winning bidder upon request.
