Audemars PiguetRoyal Oak Chronograph 'Lionel Messi'

Released as a limited edition of 500 pieces in 2012, this Royal Oak Chronograph in stainless steel is dedicated to footballer Lionel Messi. The watch introduces some striking design elements to the model line, giving it a unique appearance. Tantalum, a rare, hard, and corrosion-resistant metal, is used on the bezel and strap plots. It takes on a handsome blue-grey tone and provides an elegant contrast to the satin-finished steel case and white gold bezel bolts. The Messi LE incorporates an anthracite, vertical brushed finish dial, rather than the ‘tapisserie’ dial found on the standard Royal Oak, and Guilloche metallic sub-registers are positioned at 3,6 and 9 o’clock. Fixed to the case with screws is an unworn rubber strap and ‘AP’ logo deployant clasp. Inside the watch is the automatic chronograph calibre 2385, which features a 40-hour power reserve.

Numbered 130 of 500, the watch is presented in excellent condition having been fully serviced by AP in December 2020 and includes the presentation box, a factory cardboard box, Marcus (original purchase) and Watches of Switzerland (service) receipts and booklets.
