- Released in 1972 and designed by Gérald Genta the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak was the world’s first all-stainless steel sports watch, and set a new standard for the luxury watch industry as a whole
- With its signature bolt-down octagonal bezel, hand-finished ‘Tapisserie’ dial, Royal Oak hands, hexagonal crown, and an integrated bracelet, the Royal Oak has proven to be an design hit amongst luxury watch collectors over the last five decades
- This version of the Royal Oak launched in 1998 and adds chronograph functionality to the watch whilst retaining all of its unique and much-loved design
- The distinctive 39mm diameter case is crafted from stainless steel and comes paired with a brown/bronze ‘Mega Tapisserie’ dial featuring applied white gold hands, and three two-tone sub-registers
- This unusual colour configuration is amplified by an orange flyback chronograph hand, and further orange detailing on the subdials and outer seconds track
- Beneath the ‘Royal Oak’-stamped caseback beats Audemars Piguet’s calibre 2385, an automatic movement with a 40-hour power reserve
- The watch is presented with its lacquered wood Audemars Piguet-branded display box, outer sleeve, guarantee, booklets, and swing tag
- Despite its age, the reference remains in unworn condition and fitted with factory-fitted protective stickering on its bracelet
- Graded ‘AA’ for condition by the vendor who reports the watch to be in good working order
