SUMMARY

With its eight-screw “porthole” bezel and distinctive design, the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak is one of the most recognisable and respected sports watches in watchmaking history. The ref. 15300ST was in production between 2005 and 2012 and presented in stainless steel. It features the trademark blue ‘tapisserie’ dial, and comes in a classically sized 39mm case, the same as the original Royal Oak which launched back in 1972. Remaining faithful to the model’s sporty personality, the hands and indices are filled with Super-LumiNova - providing superior legibility to the wearer. The case and bracelet are expertly hand-finished, with angular, bevelled, polished and brushed surfaces.

Beneath the exhibition caseback lies AP’s 3120 calibre, which is considered to be one of the greatest automatic movements of all time thanks to its slender form and 60-hour power reserve. It is also one of the most recognisable, thanks to its 22K gold centre rotor which is embossed with the coat of arms for the Audemars and Piguet families and decorated with Côtes de Genève.

All watches offered for sale are searched and cleared against The Watch Register database and a certificate is available to the winning bidder upon request.

Any watch not covered by a current sales or service warranty should be considered as potentially requiring a service, even if in full working order on the date of purchase.

The description of this auction lot is, to the best of the seller's knowledge, accurate and not misleading.
