ABOUT THIS WATCH
- In 2014, to mark its 175th anniversary, Patek Philippe released a collection of limited edition watches
- This ref. 5975G is a multi-scale chronograph featuring various scales on the dial which allow for measuring different values
- The outer scale is a telemeter, originally designed for military use to determine the distance to an artillery placement by calculating the time difference between the muzzle flash and the sound
- The middle scale is a pulsometer, used by doctors and nurses to measure heartbeats
- Lastly the inner scale is a tachymeter for measuring the speed of an object over a distance of one kilometer
- The case measures 40mm in diameter and is crafted in luxurious 18K white gold
- Powering this watch is the caliber CH 28-520; a self-winding movement with a power reserve of approximately 55 hours
