ABOUT THIS WATCH
- A sometimes-overlooked member of the Rolex family, the rather esoteric Milgauss - in its original form - was originally created as a magnetic-resistant watch for scientists and engineers
- However, the Bamford has been coated in PVD to give it a moody, black appearance, and the trademark lightning bolt seconds hand has been changed from its original orange to blue
- The black dial also has blue accents above the hour markers and on the 'Milgauss' script, to match the seconds hand
- Whilst the modifications may be controversial to Rolex purists, it still remains a Milgauss at heart
- The automatic 3131 calibre movement is still housed by a Faraday cage, which ensures the watch remains resistant to magnetic fields of up to 1,000 gauss
