Sell it with usThis eye-catching Rolex GMT-Master II ref. 116758SR was purchased new by the vendor from an authorised dealer in 2010. It’s presented with its original display box, outer box, warranty card, sleeve and booklets. In line with its age, the watch wears a number of marks and scratches, most of which are visible on the bracelet and its clasp. In good working order, its condition appears to be within the bounds of the seller’s ‘A’ grading.
A luxurious and captivating take on Rolex’s modern classic GMT-Master II, the 40mm case of this reference is finished in 18k yellow gold and adorned with 76 diamonds on the lugs, whilst 18 rubies and 18 sapphires create an opulent interpretation of the reference’s trademark ‘Pepsi’ bi-directional bezel.
The extravagant styling carries over to the black dial, whose hands - including the GMT hand - are all fashioned from 18k gold. As per the design of the traditional GMT Master-II, the hour markers are a tasteful blend of easily-readable rectangles, circles, and a triangle at 12 o’clock. Anchored to the watch via its diamond-paved lugs is a matching 18k yellow gold ‘Oyster’ bracelet, which is fitted with an Oysterlock clasp.
Beating beneath the watch’s screw-down rear casing - also fashioned from gold - is Rolex’s 3186 calibre. Introduced in 2005, this self-winding certified chronometer beats to a frequency of 28,800 v/ph and is widely loved for its accuracy and reliable nature.
