Few watches combine history, versatile style and quality watchmaking like the Datejust. A model that seamlessly crosses over from dress to sport, it’s been a staple in Rolex’s catalogue since 1945. This 36mm example has all of the Datejust’s key features but brings additional wrist presence with its two-tone construction and diamond-set hour markers. The fluted bezel, bracelet centre links, crown, hands and hour marker surrounds are all fashioned from 18K yellow gold. A silver sunburst dial adds additional visual interest and changes in appearance depending on how the light hits it. Inside beats Rolex’s robust and reliable calibre 3135, which has a 48-hour power reserve and is Chronometer certified.

This 2009 example is presented in fair condition and shows visible scratches and signs of wear on the case and bracelet. Included in the sale are the box, guarantee, and travel pouch.
