Offered by a UK-based dealer, this limited edition 2008 Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Chronograph “Tour Auto” is presented as a watch-only lot. The vendor advises the watch is in good working order and is supplying a 12-month warranty. They’ve graded its condition as ‘A’. The images appear consistent with that assessment, showing light signs of wear on the case and clasp. A small blemish can be seen on the crown under magnification.

Numbered 35 of just 100 examples, this limited-edition Offshore Chronograph was launched to mark AP’s partnership as the “Official Timekeeper” of the Tour Auto Lissac. Finished in stainless steel and measuring a purposeful 42mm in diameter, this rugged interpretation of Audemars Piguet’s luxurious sports watch achieves maximum wrist presence. Undoubtedly a Royal Oak thanks to its hand-polished lug bevels and octagonal-shaped bezel, the Offshore is distinguished by its thick rubber gasket and rubber-coated crowns. The black dial features a grand tapisserie finish, with contrasting white Arabic numerals and sub-registers. Red hands provide a flourish of sporty character.

On the underside, a solid case back is engraved with the “Tour Auto” logo and the watch’s individual build number. Internally, this rugged AP is powered by the calibre 2226/2840. This Jaeger-LeCoultre-based chronograph movement is equipped with a 42-hour power reserve.

All watches offered for sale are searched and cleared against The Watch Register database and a certificate is available to the winning bidder upon request.

The description of this auction lot is, to the best of the seller's knowledge, accurate and not misleading.
