This one-owner 2007 Rolex Submariner ref. 16610LV, was bought new from Mappin & Webb along with its box, booklets, swing tags, bezel protector and receipt. The watch shows some light signs of wear and its condition appears to be within the bounds of the seller’s ‘A’ grading. The seller has indicated that the watch was last worn in 2010 and has remained in its box since then.

Several key differentiators were introduced by Rolex to mark this special model, not least the striking green aluminium bezel insert. The other was the ‘maxi-dial’, which further improved legibility and has since been adopted by Rolex on the latest generation of Submariners. The ‘Kermit’ has the desirable combination of this modern dial layout with the more traditional case shape that echoes the vintage charm of models from the ’80s and ’90s. It also benefits from all the features that have made the model such a rugged and dependable watch. The 40mm Oyster case and bracelet are made from corrosion-resistant 904L stainless steel, and the trip-lock crown affords the watch 300 metres of waterproofness.

The Rolex Submariner 16610LV, or ‘Kermit’, was first released in 2003 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the world’s most recognised dive watch. Since then, it has quickly become a highly sought-after reference amongst collectors.
