Audemars PiguetRoyal Oak Offshore Chronograph

From a trade seller, a 2007 example of Audemars Piguet’s Royal Oak Offshore Chronograph. Accompanying the watch are the box, warranty booklet and a spare rubber strap. Presented in ‘slightly worn’ condition – as stated by the seller-, it falls in line with its ‘A’ grading. Please note: the clasp has been after-set with diamonds, and is not factory.

Unmistakably “AP”, with its distinctive angular case, hexagonal bezel, and integrated bracelet, the watch achieves maximum wrist presence. Expert hand-finishing is featured on the finely polished lug bevels and the bezel. The Offshore is distinguished from the standard Royal Oak by the robust bezel gasket and rubber-clad crown and pushers. The dial is black with a “Mega Tapisserie” finish - a look synonymous with line. The watch is equipped with black chronograph sub-registers at the 6-9-12 o’clock positions. Powering the watch is the in-house calibre 3126/3840, boasting a 50-hour power reserve, chronograph and date complications.

The Offshore shocked the industry when it was announced almost 30 years ago with its robustness, thick profile and, of course, 42mm stainless steel case.
