Offered by a private vendor, this 2007 Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore ref. 26170ST.OO.D091CR.01 is accompanied by its display box, outer box, certificate of origin and guarantee, and operating instructions. In addition, three spare straps are included in the lot - a green rubber, two camouflage patterned rubber and a brown alligator with contrast stitching. The watch shows some light signs of wear including small blemishes on the rubber-clad crown and pushers. The vendor advises the watch was recently polished and its condition appears to be within the bounds of their ‘A’ grading.

With its distinctive angular 42mm case, hexagonal bezel, and integrated rubber strap, there is no mistaking this watch for anything but an AP Royal Oak Offshore. The watch is expertly hand-finished with fine bevels that run around the bezel and across the lug hoods. The robust bezel gasket and rubber-clad crown and pushers distinguish this robust model from the standard Royal Oak. Earning its “Safari” moniker through the ivory-coloured dial, it's accented with a “Mega Tapisserie” finish. Large Arabic numerals provide contrast and are applied to the dial around the chronograph sub-dials at 6, 9 and 12 o’clock.

Internally, the watch is powered by AP’s calibre 2226/2840. This Jaeger-LeCoultre-based chronograph movement is equipped with a 42-hour power reserve.

Introduced in 1992, the Offshore introduced a more sporty and adventurous spirit to AP’s iconic Royal Oak line and transformed the world of luxury watches.
