Sell it with usThe ref. 16570 represents the last generation of classically proportioned 40mm Explorer II’s. A handsome and reliable travel companion, the red GMT hand and brushed 24-hour scale bezel allow the wearer to track two time zones simultaneously.
Apart from becoming increasingly collectable, the white or “polar” dial variant is highly legible thanks to the blackened white gold surrounds on the hands and indices. Attached to the case is a satin-finished Oyster bracelet with a fold-over clasp and safety catch. The watch is powered by the tried and tested calibre 3185, which features a 48-hour power reserve and Chronometer certification.
This example, which dates to 2006, is presented in excellent condition. The watch was serviced by Rolex in 2012 and 2018, and service guarantee cards are provided for both. The case, bracelet and clasp have no visible scratches or marks and several stickers are still in place from the latest service. Also included in the sale are the box, guarantee card, booklet and swing tags.
All watches offered for sale are searched and cleared against The Watch Register database and a certificate is available to the winning bidder upon request.
