ABOUT THIS WATCH
- An elegant alternative to the tool watches Rolex is renowned for, the Cellini Prince is a curious note in The Crown’s history, and was produced from 2005 to 2014
- Nicknamed the “Art Deco”, the watch draws heavily on the design of original Cellini Prince released in 1928
- With a rectangular 18K white gold case measuring 28mm across, the dial of the Cellini Prince is split into two sections - one displaying the hours and minutes, the other displaying the seconds
- The Art Deco theme continues with the design of the dial, which is finished with black, silver, and red elements, whilst the tri-Arabic 3, 6, and 9 o’clock hour markers have been influenced by newer Rolex references
- The Cellini Prince features an exhibition case back for the first time on a series-production Rolex making it a unique and historically significant piece
- A glossy black alligator leather strap with a folding clasp contributes to the watch’s dressy aesthetic
- Beneath it beats Rolex’s manual-winding calibre 7040, a chronometer-certified movement with a 70-hour power reserve
