• Released in 1993, the Offshore is a bigger, bolder, and more eye-catching version of the iconic Audemars Piguet Royal Oak
• ​Despite its enhanced visuals, the Offshore retains all of the design features that have made the Gérald Genta-designed original such a revered piece amongst watch collectors
• These design elements include the ‘tapisserie’ dial, angular case and octagonal bezel 
• This example has plenty of wrist presence, measuring 44mm in diameter 
• The case crafted from brushed stainless steel with fine bevel along the lug hoods showcasing AP’s attention to detail 
• A limited edition of 1,935 pieces, this watch was created to mark Audemars Piguet’s sponsorship of Team Switzerland’s ‘Alinghi Polaris’ boat in the 2006 America’s Cup
• The black ‘Grande Tapisserie’ chronograph dial is finished with red elements to reflect the colour scheme of the ‘Alinghi Polaris’, and unlike the standard Royal Oak Offshore, the watch has a highly-complex regatta chronograph
• This complication has two centre seconds hands: one white, which travels around the dial each minute, and one red, which circles the dial once every ten minutes
• Powering the watch is Audemars Piguet’s calibre 2326/2847; an automatic movement designed exclusively for the ‘Alinghi’ references
• Calibre 2326/2847 is based on the JLC 896 and has a 48-hour power reserve

• Presented with a Alinghi Polaris-themed display box, outer packaging, certificate of origin & guarantee, certificate of authenticity and instruction booklet
• Graded ‘A’ for condition by the vendor who notes that the watch is in good working order
