SUMMARY
Launched for the 2004 model year as an updated version of the iconic IWC Pilot’s Watch, the Spitfire boasts several aesthetic enhancements over its predecessor. The changes include a silver or black dial finished in varying textures, along with newly-introduced sword-shaped hands and applied Arabic numeral indices for superior legibility. Earlier references such as this one-owner example are driven by IWC’s 7922 calibre, an automatic Swiss-made chronograph with a 44-hour power reserve.
