SUMMARY

In 2005, the Swiss private bank Pictet & Cie collaborated with Audemars Piguet to celebrate its 200th anniversary. A limited edition of 1,800 Royal Oaks were produced, each having the company’s emblem and the recipient’s name engraved on the case back. The watch shares the same construction and dimensions as the long-running and renowned ref. 14790ST. The stainless-steel case and integrated bracelet are expertly hand finished with sharp transitions between brushed and polished surfaces highlighting the watchmaker’s attention to detail. The crisp white dial features a “tapisserie” pattern with applied hour markers and a contrasting black minute track. Inside the case beats the ultra-thin calibre 2225, which features automatic winding and a 40-hour power reserve.

All watches offered for sale are searched and cleared against The Watch Register database and a certificate is available to the winning bidder upon request.

Any watch not covered by a current sales or service warranty should be considered as potentially requiring a service, even if in full working order on the date of purchase.

The description of this auction lot is, to the best of the seller's knowledge, accurate and not misleading. Watch Collecting requests a range of detail about the lot from the seller, and performs a level of due diligence. However, bidders must satisfy themselves as to the accuracy of the description, and conduct any research they feel is necessary before committing to a bid.
