SUMMARY
A bold and distinctively styled reference from Vacheron Constantin’s back catalogue. Originally launched in 2001, the stainless steel tonneau-shaped case has stepped lugs that harken back to watch design from the early 20th century. A nuanced dial displays sunken sub-registers for the chronograph and running seconds, while stylised applied Arabic numerals mark the hours. A large double-digit date display sits at 12 o’clock. Internally, the watch is powered by the calibre 1137 which has a vertical clutch and column wheel system for the chronograph and is equipped with a 40-hour power reserve.
All watches offered for sale are searched and cleared against The Watch Register database and a certificate is available to the winning bidder upon request.
Any watch not covered by a current sales or service warranty should be considered as potentially requiring a service, even if in full working order on the date of purchase.
