Sell it with usOffered here by a private collector is an Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore reference 25940SK.OO.D002CA.02.A from 2003. The watch is accompanied by its presentation box and official dealer packaging. Also present is the original Certificat d'Origine et de Garantie; an Audemars Piguet service invoice from an official dealer showing that the watch received a complete maintenance service, replacement bezel, screws and refinishing.
The original purchase receipt from an official Audemars Piguet authorised retailer in The Netherlands (House of Pertijs) is also included. The watch shows some signs of wear commensurate with age but is in overall excellent condition. It appears to fall within the bounds of the seller’s rating of ‘A’ for condition.
The 44mm satin-finished case is virtually unmarked as are the rubber-clad bezel and rubber covers to the crown and pushers. Inside, the watch is powered by the AP self-winding chronograph, model 2226/2840. This is based on the slim Jaeger Le Coultre calibre 889 and provides a power reserve of 38 hours along with hacking seconds and a quick set date function.
The dial is finished in AP’s white mega tapisserie hobnail design with contrasting subdials. Large Arabic numerals are coated in luminous material, as are the hour and minute hands. There’s a magnified date window at 3 o’clock. Around the dial runs a rehaut with a tachymeter scale.
Mirroring the design of the bezel, the caseback is held in place by screws and the watch is rated as 100m of water resistance. Completing its waterproof credentials the watch is presented on a supple naturalised rubber strap with a satin finished and signed buckle.
All watches offered for sale are searched and cleared against The Watch Register database and a certificate is available to the winning bidder upon request.
