Sell it with usAmongst the first Daytona’s to feature an automatic movement, this historically significant reference, colloquially known as a “Zenith Daytona”, has become increasingly sought after by collectors. Housing a Zenith-based calibre, these five-digit reference models were updated with a larger, 40mm case.
This reference 16523 features a two-tone construction with a polished 18K yellow gold bezel, bracelet centre-links, crown and pushers. The white dial features applied hands and indices in white gold and contrasting sub-registers. Attached to the case is an Oyster bracelet with a fold-over safety clasp.
This 2001 example, amongst the very last to feature the Zenith-based calibre, is presented in good overall condition. Some marks and swirls are visible on the case, bracelet, and clasp. Also included in the sale are the box, guarantee, and booklets.
