SUMMARY
Bulgari has gained a reputation for combining bold designs and innovative technology, while also paying respect to historical legacies. In the 1970s, while the Swiss watch industry was facing the quartz crisis, Bulgari introduced the original Roma and soon after introduced the equally popular Bvlgari Bvlgari. The model presented here is a modern iteration, which was launched in 2014 to celebrate the 130th anniversary of the brand. Produced in a total of just 130 pieces, the watch is presented in a rose gold case and pays respect to the original with the “BVLGARI ROMA” script engraved into the bezel. The dial has a lacquered black finish with oversized markers, also in rose gold. Visible through the sapphire caseback is the calibre BVL 131M which is extensively hand-finished. This manually-wound movement is equipped with a 72-hour power reserve.
All watches offered for sale are searched and cleared against The Watch Register database and a certificate is available to the winning bidder upon request.
