• This reference is among the first generation of Vacheron Constantin's Overseas model line, and was the brand's first sports chronograph
• Released in 1999 and only produced for five years, it features a 40mm case with an integrated bracelet, in some ways making it Vacheron’s alternative to the Royal Oak and the Nautilus
• From the outset, the Overseas Chronograph successfully combined Geneva elegance and the feel of high-end luxury with the comfort of a familiar daily sports watch
• This first-generation example is presented in luxurious yellow gold and has a silver-white dial with a 'guilloché' pattern and stepped registers
• It features a running seconds indicator a 6 o'clock, an oversized double date aperture at 12, a 12-hour chronograph register at 9 and a 30-minute chronograph register at 3 o'clock
• Inside the case, the calibre 1137 automatic chronograph movement powers the watch and provides 40 hours of power reserve
