SUMMARY
This reference from 2000 is an interesting take on the Offshore Chronograph, housing a perpetual calendar movement - one of the first Royal Oaks to do so. Blending ruggedness and technical prowess, the watch is also crafted from lightweight titanium. The white dial of the Royal Oak’s characteristic ‘Méga Tapisserie’ dial displays the calendar, moonphase and chronograph and its applied white gold dot hour-markers and hands are highly-legible thanks to their SuperlLuminova fill. Beneath the screw-down rear case beats Audemars Piguet’s 2226/2839 calibre. This highly-intricate, self-winding movement uses a modular layout using two Dubois Dépraz modules; one of which is responsible for the chronograph and the other for the perpetual calendar.
