SUMMARY
The Heuer Carrera is a seminal watch. Clean and utilitarian, it debuted over half a century ago and helped set a course for decades of watch design that goes far beyond the confines of racing watches or chronographs. The earliest models, from 1964, have achieved cult status and are exceedingly desirable to collectors and enthusiasts alike. The 1964 Carrera Re-editions are based on the original Heuer Carreras sold from 1964 until the 1980s. Almost everything on the watch is identical to the original line, from the 36mm stainless steel case, crown, pushers, and subdial layout. The new dial does have a couple of key differences though, namely the lack of “Carrera” text and the addition of the 100-count inner track. The movement within is the Lemania 1873, a manual-winding chronograph equipped with a 40-hour power reserve.
All watches offered for sale are searched and cleared against The Watch Register database and a certificate is available to the winning bidder upon request.
