The reference 16610 represents the very last generation of classically proportioned pre-ceramic Submariners. Striking the perfect balance between traditional looks and modern build quality, the watch features a refined shape, unlike the squared lugs and oversize feel of modern Rolex sports watches.

The case measures 40mm in diameter and has a uni-directional rotating bezel with a black aluminium insert. White gold markers and hands are applied to the gloss black dial and filled with Tritium, signified by the “SWISS-T<25” script at 6 o’clock. Attached to the case is an Oyster bracelet with a FlipLock dive extension integrated into the fold-over clasp. The watch is powered by Rolex’s tried and tested calibre 3135 movement, which has a 48-hour power reserve and is Chronometer certified.

This example from 1996 shows some marks and swirls on the case and bracelet commensurate with age. Its condition is within the bounds of the seller’s A grading. No additional accessories are included in the lot.
