The reference 16610 represents the very last generation of classically proportioned pre-ceramic Submariners. Striking the perfect balance between traditional looks and modern build quality, the watch features a refined and classical shape, unlike the squared lugs and oversize feel of modern Rolex sports watches. This example from 1995 features drilled lugs, a feature no longer seen in contemporary examples, and one that gives the watch a more utilitarian look and provides the wearer with the ability to change straps with ease.
