This single-owner Rolex is offered by a private collector for sale, the watch was purchased by the current owner in 1992 at a Rolex official retailer, Rudells the Jewellers, in Wolverhampton. The vendor states that the watch is in good working order. The Submariner has Rolex service documentation for 1999, and 2020. Additionally, provided is a receipt from Rudells dated February 2022 for a service including a new gold bezel, new crown, and new hands. The watch is accompanied with its original ‘Rolex Oyster’ green outer box, green watch presentation box. The watch also comes with its original guarantee certificate, guarantee booklet, Oyster and Submariner booklets, calendar card, red seal swing tag, green ‘Swimpruf’ tag, green wallet, and green suede watch pouch. Plus, the Rolex service guarantee documentation from 1999 and the Rolex service centre card from October 2020 and receipt for service in 2022 by Rudells.

The watch condition is within the bounds of the vendor’s ‘A’ grading with some surface line scratches visible for example on the bezel insert and bracelet. The vendor notes that the watch 'face' is in very good condition due to recent replacements and the blue has remained true without the purpling that sometimes happens. They add that they think there is a slight kink in one of the two thin flat metal parts of the bracelet clasp fastening. While the Submariner started life as a reliable dive companion, it’s changed in profile and personality over the years - slipping further into the realm of luxury. This reference 16613 features a blue dial with gold coloured noting a water resistance rating of 300m (1,000 feet). The 40mm case is stainless steel with contrasting brushed and polished surfaces and the crown is in yellow gold. The watch is on an Oyster bracelet that is finished with a combination of stainless steel and yellow gold, with an Oyster Clasp. The Rolex ‘in house’ watch movement is automatic and rated as a certified Swiss chronometer.

The now famed and widely collected Rolex Submariner was first introduced in 1953 has become one of the most recognisable diver wristwatches.
