- Worn by each of the NASA astronauts during the Apollo 11 moon landing mission of 1969, the Omega Speedmaster is one of the world’s most-recognised watches
- Discontinued in 2009, the reference 3510.50 is known as the “Reduced” as it has a smaller diameter than the Speedmaster Professional “Moonwatch” at 38mm across
- The highly-legible black and white dial has Arabic numerals counting up the minutes in intervals of five beneath the hour markers, and “Automatic” written under the “Speedmaster” text at 12 o’clock
- Unlike its bigger, space-travelling brother, the “Reduced” is powered by an automatic movement; the Omega calibre 1140
- This example is offered by a private collector in the United Kingdom
- Please note that the watch is not supplied with any papers, but an Omega-branded display box is included with the lot
- The vendor notes the watch was serviced in 2022, where the crystal was replaced
- Graded ‘A’ by the vendor who reports the watch to be in good working order
All watches offered for sale are searched and cleared against The Watch Register database and a certificate is available to the winning bidder upon request.
Any watch not covered by a current sales or service warranty should be considered as potentially requiring a service, even if in full working order on the date of purchase.
