KEY FACTS

• Worn by each of the NASA astronauts during the Apollo 11 moon landing mission of 1969, the Omega Speedmaster is one of the world’s most-recognised watches 
• Discontinued in 2009, the reference 3510.50 is known as the “Reduced” as it has a smaller diameter than the Speedmaster Professional “Moonwatch” at 38mm across
• The highly-legible black and white dial has Arabic numerals counting up the minutes in intervals of five beneath the hour markers, and “Automatic” written under the “Speedmaster” text at 12 o’clock
• Unlike its bigger, space-travelling brother, the “Reduced” is powered by an automatic movement; the Omega calibre 1140
• This example is offered by a private collector in the United Kingdom
