ABOUT THIS WATCH

  • The Sea-Dweller first appeared in the late 1960s and was created to extend the underwater utility of Rolex’s existing Submariner line
  • Referred to by collectors as the ‘Triple Six’, this transitional reference was produced between 1978 and 1979 and included some key updates to the Sea-Dweller
  • Rolex introduced a sapphire crystal, a new movement, a more secure unidirectional bezel, and a doubling of water-resistance
  • This example is among the later examples produced of this reference and is offered with white gold hour markers on a gloss black dial
  • Housed inside the case is the chronometer-certified calibre 3035; an automatic movement with a 50-hour power reserve
