SUMMARY

The Monaco is one of the true icons of modern watchmaking. Launched by Heuer in 1969 as part of a trio of watches that housed the renowned calibre 11 movement, its distinctive square-shaped case and motorsport associations have won the hearts of enthusiasts and collectors alike. Its reputation also crossed over into pop culture thanks to its association with the late Hollywood actor Steve Mcqueen, who wore one in the film Le Mans.

This 1133G reference features a rare silver-grey dial with sporty red accents on the minutes track and hands. Square sub-registers display the running seconds and chronograph timing which is actuated by the pushers on the right flank. The crown is positioned on the opposite side - a quirky design feature uncommonly seen in movement architecture. The case is in exemplary condition with sharp edges and minimal signs of wear for a watch of this age. This vintage Monaco would suit any fastidious collector looking for a great example of this sought-after piece.

Please note, due to restricted access to our secure facility over the Christmas and New Year period, and watches being sold via the managed service will be available for collection from the 3rd January onwards. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time.

All watches offered for sale are searched and cleared against The Watch Register database and a certificate is available to the winning bidder upon request.
