Sell it with usThis is an exceedingly attractive and rare chronograph, the reference Rolex 3695, pre-Daytona is a very uncommon finding at auction.
Introduced in 1940, the wristwatch was developed for an extremely short amount of time and is part of the rarest chronographs produced by the manufacture. Preserved with the upmost care throughout the years, the timepiece features a very attractive, gloss black dial with Arabic numerals, two slightly sunken and engine-turned subsidiary registers, recording minutes and continuous seconds, as well as a tachymeter scale with clear writings. The numerals have garnered a deep patina with time.
Of particular interest to collectors is the ‘double signed’ dial. Rolex hardly ever include anyone else’s name on their dials, so to have the original retailer name ‘Giudici Milano’ included underneath the word ‘Rolex’ is rare and significant.
In astounding overall condition, the elegance of the dial of and overall appeal of the timepiece is enhanced through the contemporary size. It features a signed snap back, steel case, which retains attractive proportions, with engraved serial and reference numbers and Rolex coronet to its 36mm case back.
Considering its rarity, overall condition and provenance, the present chronograph represents a rare opportunity for sharp collectors to acquire an attractive and important timepiece of the Rolex manufacture.
This reference Rolex 3695 is presented for sale in excellent condition for its age, with signs of wear commensurate with age and authenticity to its case and case back. It is sold on a sympathetic black Horween leather strap.
