Auctioned through a trade vendor, this brand new Tudor Ranger ref. 79950 is presented as a full set. The watch is accompanied by its original box and outer sleeve, user manual, and proof of the official Tudor five-year warranty providing cover until 2027. Unworn, the watch has no visible marks or blemishes, and it still wears its factory-issue protective coverings on the bracelet clasp and rear casing. A brand new reference, the photos and information correlate with the vendor’s ‘AAA’ grading of the watch.

Re-released in 2022, this vintage-styled Tudor Ranger is the replacement for the previous generation Ranger ref. 79910. Finished in robust satin stainless steel, this latest Ranger was commissioned to celebrate 70 years of the British North Greenland Expedition, and its utilitarian design is inspired by the Tudor Oyster Prince watches used by the team of 30 explorers on their daring 1952 mission to the icy North. Measuring 39mm in diameter, Tudor’s self-described “tool watch” features a functional matt black dial, with enlarged Arabic numerals at three, six, nine and 12 o’clock for superior legibility in adverse conditions. A purposeful stainless steel bracelet contributes to the reference’s overall no-nonsense aesthetic.

Powering the Ranger is Tudor’s chronometer-certified MT5402 calibre. Developed by Tudor, this automatic movement was introduced in 2018 and is well-regarded for its reliability and power reserve of 70 hours.

All watches offered for sale are searched and cleared against The Watch Register database and a certificate is available to the winning bidder upon request.
