This 2022 example is offered by a private vendor who bought it new from an authorised Panerai dealer. Accompanied by the presentation box, strap changing tool, rubber strap and proof of purchase, this is a complete set. Presented in unworn condition, it is consistent with the seller’s ‘AAA’ grading.

The 44mm case is constructed from Panerai’s proprietary ‘Carbotech’ - a composite material based on carbon fibre. Apart from being light, it also has an interesting look based on how the material is cut. The matte black dial is designed with legibility in mind and features large blue luminous markers and numerals. The trademark crown guard protects from knocks and affords the watch 300m of water resistance. The black, water-resistant strap compliments the case and dial with its blue stitching. Powered by the in-house P.9010 calibre, this automatic movement features a quick-set hour hand and can run for 3-days when fully wound.

Based on Panerai’s tradition and knowledge of dive watches, this reference experiments with contemporary composites to provide the wearer with a lighter and more durable timepiece.
