SUMMARY

The Omega Speedmaster Professional is one of the true greats of modern watchmaking, with a timeless design that has changed very little in over 50 years of its production. A watch with intergalactic roots that was initially designed for motor racing, the "Speedy" has become synonymous with space travel and exploration thanks to its long association with NASA and numerous appearances on the wrists of US astronauts. This latest generation example is finished in solid 18K rose gold and and features several key updates including a revised bracelet and movement; Omega’s calibre 3861, which introduced the brand’s co-axial escapement and has been Master Chronometer certified by METAS. This manual winding movement is also resistant to magnetic fields reaching 15,000 gauss.
