The vendor advises the watch is in mint condition with no signs of wear to the case or leather strap. Its overall condition appears to be within the bounds of their ‘AAA’ grading.
The stainless steel case of the Kurono Grand Hagane measures 37mm in diameter and is finished in a high polish throughout. The watch has a dressy aesthetic characterised by fluid curves and slim, elegant lugs.
The watch's standout feature is its dial, which is handcrafted using Urushi lacquer - made from the sap of a native Japanese tree. This process is undertaken by trained artisans and involves many steps and applications. The hours are marked in white using a complex character font called “Koji”, which was introduced from the east to Japan in ancient times. Housed inside the case is the Japanese-made Miyota calibre 90S5. This automatic movement beats at 28,800 vibrations per hour and is equipped with a 42-hour power reserve.
The watch is paired with a black textured calf leather strap, nicely complementing the watch’s dressy profile.
