ABOUT THIS WATCH
- IWC’s rich history in aviation inspired the launch of the Big Pilot’s watch in 2002, with the model line becoming the archetypal watch in the company’s catalogue
- This limited edition of just 250 pieces is part of IWC's 'Le Petit Prince' collection that pays tribute to the story written by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry
- It features all the defining Big Pilot features, but introduces an annual calendar complication which is displayed in apertures across the top of the dial
- IWC has also incorporated larger, more stylised Arabic numeral hour markers
- On the flip side, a large sapphire crystal displays the in-house calibre 52850 movement and 'Le Petit Prince' artwork
- The movement boasts an impressive seven-day power reserve, as displayed on the dial's sub-register
- A factory leather strap with riveted ends keeps this oversized pilot's watch secured to the wrist
