Sell it with usThis IWC Big Pilot’s Watch Big Date Bucherer BLUE, released in 2020 in a limited edition of just 100 pieces worldwide, is offered as a full set in near unworn condition by a private seller in the UK. The watch comes with its boxes, original papers and two extra straps, and falls within the bounds of the seller’s ‘A’ rating for condition.
It was the first IWC Big Pilot partnership edition to feature a big date complication on its dial. Cased in stainless steel and measuring 46.2 mm the watch features a hand-wound in-house movement, soft-iron inner cage to protect against magnetic fields, eight-day power reserve, (the power-reserve display is on the reverse side), large two-digit date display, neon-blue index and hands with green luminova, convex sapphire glass with anti-reflective coating on both sides.
The dial is a matte black with blue luminous hour indexes and hands, and a small seconds sub-counter at 6 o’clock. The big date feature at 12 o’clock also has additional blue accents.
It’s powered by the hand-wound 59235 calibre, offering an 8-day power reserve. The blue accents on the watch are a nod to Bucherer’s signature colour.
The watch is presented on a black calf strap with a folding clasp and two further straps are included in the lot. The Big Pilot line of watch was specifically designed by IWC to survive the difficult conditions of a jet fighter’s cockpit and the need to withstand temperature and pressure alterations as well as magnetic fields.
All watches offered for sale are searched and cleared against The Watch Register database and a certificate is available to the winning bidder upon request.
