SUMMARY

Master watchmaker Girard-Perregaux first released the now infamous Laureato in 1975, shortly after Audemars Piguet came out with the Royal Oak, but crucially before Patek Phillipe announced the Nautilus. The secret to its evergreen popularity? Its wearability. The Laureato boasts an incredibly comfortable bracelet, while its slim profile makes it a perfect everyday wear. The instantly recognisable blue Clous de Paris dial pattern, accentuates the richness of the colour. The watch features a blend of brushed and polished surfaces throughout, with sharp transitions that highlight the watchmaker’s attention to detail. Sitting proudly at 12 o’clock is a GP logo, complemented by applied hour markers and a date aperture at 3 o’clock. On the underside, a crystal exhibition case back shows off GP’s stunning calibre GP01800 movement, which is handsomely decorated and equipped with a 54-hour power reserve. Owners of the watch also benefit from a portable leather and suede travel case, which comes as part of the presentation box.

All watches offered for sale are searched and cleared against The Watch Register database and a certificate is available to the winning bidder upon request.

Any watch not covered by a current sales or service warranty should be considered as potentially requiring a service, even if in full working order on the date of purchase.

The description of this auction lot is, to the best of the seller's knowledge, accurate and not misleading.
