Sell it with usAvailable exclusively to buyers of the 992 GT3, this Porsche Design watch, carrying the same name, is designed to emulate the famous sportscar’s look and feel. Porsche Design was founded in 1972 by Professor Ferdinand Porsche, the creator of the 911, and offers a range of design-led and technical products, including this Chronometer-certified wristwatch.
Like the car, many customisation options are available. This particular example has been specified with a lightweight brushed titanium case with yellow accents on the minutes track and chronograph hands. The watch’s underside is equipped with a sapphire case back displaying the calibre WERK 01.200 movement. Based on the venerable Valjoux 7750, it has flyback functionality and a 48-hour power reserve. Fans of the GT3 car will immediately notice that the winding rotor is based on the car’s wheel design. The references to the iconic motorcar go beyond the case, with the strap made from genuine Porsche vehicle leather.
This new, unworn example was purchased in 2021 and its condition is within the bounds of the seller’s AAA grading. The sale includes the box, guarantee card, and Chronometer certificate.
All watches offered for sale are searched and cleared against The Watch Register database and a certificate is available to the winning bidder upon request.
The description of this auction lot is, to the best of the seller's knowledge, accurate and not misleading. Watch Collecting requests a range of detail about the lot from the seller, and performs a level of due diligence. However, bidders must satisfy themselves as to the accuracy of the description, and conduct any research they feel is necessary before committing to a bid.
