Sell it with usAvailable exclusively to buyers of the latest 992 GT3, this Porsche Design watch, carrying the same name, is designed to emulate the famous sportscar’s look and feel. Porsche Design was founded in 1972 by Professor Ferdinand Porsche, the creator of the 911, and offers a range of design-led and technical products, including this Chronometer-certified wristwatch.
Like the car, many customisation options are available. This particular example has been specified with a lightweight titanium carbide case and a striking yellow ring and hands- giving it a distinctive and sporty appearance. The watch’s underside is equipped with a sapphire case back displaying the calibre WERK 01.200 movement. Based on the venerable Valjoux 7750, the movement is equipped with a 48-hour power reserve. Fans of the GT3 car will immediately notice that the winding rotor is based on the car’s wheel design. The references to the iconic motorcar go beyond the case, with the strap made from genuine Porsche vehicle leather.
This example was purchased in August 2021, with a retail price of approximately £9,000, and is presented in new, unworn condition. The sale includes the box, guarantee card, Chronometer certificate, and a spare strap.
All watches offered for sale are searched and cleared against The Watch Register database and a certificate is available to the winning bidder upon request.
