Offered by a private collector, this Patek Philippe Calatrava Pilot Travel Time ref. 5524G is accompanied by its display box, outer box, certificate of origin, booklets and leather folder. The vendor states the watch is in ‘as new’ condition, and its condition appears to be consistent with their ‘AA’ grading.

The design of the watch is inspired by Patek Philippe’s pilot watches from the 1930s with its enhanced legibility, large gold Arabic numerals and hands that are filled with Super-LumiNova. Easily distinguishable from the rest of the Calatrava models, it retains its luxurious status with a white gold case and incredible finishing, both on the outside as well as the inside.

As the perfect travel companion, the case flank incorporates distinctive pushers for adjusting the skeletonised ‘local time’ hour hand. This allows the wearer to quickly set the local time when arriving at a new destination while simultaneously keeping track of time at home.

Powering this complication is the expertly finished calibre CH 324 S C FUS, accurate to run from -3/+2 seconds per day. The movement is visible through the sapphire caseback, showcasing the craftsmanship that is expected by any Patek product.

Complementing the watch’s look and feel is a factory leather strap with contrast stitching and a signed white gold pin buckle.

All watches offered for sale are searched and cleared against The Watch Register database and a certificate is available to the winning bidder upon request.
