Sell it with usIntroduced in 1997, the Aquanaut draws inspiration from the Nautilus but maintains its own unique character. This latest generation ref 5167/1A-001 has an expertly finished 40mm stainless steel case with beautiful brushed and polished surfaces. Due to its impressive thinness (8.1mm), the watch can easily slide under any cuff and be worn with formal attire. The 120m water-resistant case ensures it’s just at home by the pool or on the beach.
Looking at the dial, it’s characterised by a distinctive geosphere pattern. Large Arabic numerals are applied and filled with Super-LumiNova, making it highly legible. Flipping the watch over, the self-winding calibre 324 SC is visible through the sapphire case back. This ultra-thin movement boasts a power reserve of 45 hours and is elaborately decorated with Côtes de Genève across the bridges and the 21K winding rotor. The Patek Philippe seal ensures that it runs from -3 to +2 seconds per day.
This 2021 example is presented on the less commonly seen stainless steel bracelet. Its condition is within the bounds of the seller’s AA grading. The sale includes the watch’s box, Certificate of Origin and a wallet containing the booklets and paperwork.
All watches offered for sale are searched and cleared against The Watch Register database and a certificate is available to the winning bidder upon request.
