SUMMARY
Released in 2020 as a tribute to the 50th anniversary of Apollo 13 and the Silver Snoopy Award presented to Omega, this collectable and limited Speedmaster brings a unique aesthetic and some premium upgrades over the regular ‘moon watch’. In place of the utilitarian black dial is a vibrant silver finish with blue sub-registers and a matching blue tachymeter scale. At 9 o’clock a silver medallion is laser engraved and embossed, depicting the famous cartoon character in a spacesuit in the same style as the Snoopy Award patch. Turning the watch over, the wearer is greeted with this Speedmaster’s standout feature. On the sapphire crystal case back, the moon is depicted using a micro-structured metallisation, and as the chronograph is actuated, Snoopy takes a trip around the far side. In the background, an Earth disc rotates once per minute in sync with the watch’s running seconds.
All watches offered for sale are searched and cleared against The Watch Register database and a certificate is available to the winning bidder upon request.
Any watch not covered by a current sales or service warranty should be considered as potentially requiring a service, even if in full working order on the date of purchase.
