Offered by a UK-based dealer, this 2021 IWC Portofino Chronograph ref. IW391027 is accompanied by its box, travel pouch, international warranty card, booklets and tag. The watch has a factory sticker on the case back and its condition appears to be within the bounds of the seller’s ‘AAA’ grading.

The 42mm stainless steel case is 13.6mm in height and has water resistance to 3 bar. The movement is IWC’s calibre 75320 (an IWC-modified Valjoux Caliber 7750) with 25 jewels, 240 parts and a power reserve of 44 hours. The watch’s functions include the chronograph with hours, minutes and seconds display; small hacking seconds, day and date. The convex sapphire glass is finished with an anti-reflective coating on both sides.

The thin, fixed bezel is made of brushed and polished steel. Against a white dial with polished and applied indices and hands, there are three sub-dials, with day and date windows situated at the 3 o’clock position. A day aperture displays the usual abbreviations of three letters. The 30 minutes chronograph sub-dial is set at the 12 o’clock position; the 12 hours chrono counter is situated at the 6 o’clock position, whereas the smaller, 60 seconds sub-dial is located at the 9 o’clock position.

This retro-looking chronograph has striking, mushroom-shaped pushers and is accompanied by a crocodile leather strap and IWC signed pin buckle.
