SUMMARY
This watch from Girard Perregaux’s Vintage 1945 line is inspired by pieces from the company’s catalogue dating back to the mid-1940s. The rectangular-shaped case is dramatically cambered to wrap around the wrist and provide an ergonomic fit.
The skeletonised dial is matched with an 18K rose gold case, measuring 36.1mm x 35.25mm in size and 11.74mm in thickness. The dial also features gold hour markers and hands that contrast greatly with the intricate design of the movement. A small seconds dial has a moonphase indicator within, located at the 6 o’clock position, and two large rotating date dials display a big date aperture at the 12 o’clock position.
Internally, the watch is powered by the Girard-Perregaux calibre GP03300-0105, a rectangular automatic movement with a 46-hour power reserve. This movement is also visible through the sapphire caseback, displaying the solid gold rotor.
All watches offered for sale are searched and cleared against The Watch Register database and a certificate is available to the winning bidder upon request.
Any watch not covered by a current sales or service warranty should be considered as potentially requiring a service, even if in full working order on the date of purchase.
