This Tank Cintrée is offered by a private collector who purchased it directly from a Cartier boutique. The vendor states that the watch is in perfect working order. The watch is accompanied with its Cartier outer and inner red box and warranty card. The watch condition is within the bounds of the vendor’s ‘AA’ grading.

The watch features blued hands on an ivory cream Roman Numeral dial as well as having the classic cabochon sapphire Cartier crown. The Tank Cintree model has a slightly curved and elongated case. The tan leather strap is finished with a gold pin buckle which is signed Cartier. Housed inside the yellow gold case, the watch is powered by the manual winding caliber 9780 MC.

Designed to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Tank Cintrée, the watch was designed with the original models from the 1920s in mind. The case size is almost identical to the 1921 original and remains timelessly elegant and classic. Limited to just 150 pieces, this model was only available from Cartier boutiques when it was released in 2021.

Cartier’s watchmaking heritage includes now legendary wristwatches such as the Santos de Cartier wristwatch made by Louis Cartier in 1904 for aviator Alberto Santos-Dumont. In 1917, Louis Cartier created the highly distinctive Tank watch with its rectangular case and two parallel sides. The Tank Cintrée continues today to be a quintessential model in Cartier’s watch collection.

All watches offered for sale are searched and cleared against The Watch Register database and a certificate is available to the winning bidder upon request.
