CartierBallon Bleu

Offered by a UK-based dealer, this 2021 Cartier Ballon Bleu is presented with its display box, warranty papers and bezel protector. The manufacturer’s warranty covers this example until 2023. The vendor advises the watch is in good working order and has graded it ‘A’ for condition. The images appear consistent with that assessment, showing only minor hairline marks.

Since its release in 2006, the Ballon Bleu has become a modern classic and is an integral part of Cartier’s watch catalogue. It draws on historical design elements seen across the Maison’s collection but incorporates its own distinctive and contemporary features.

The 42mm case and bracelet of this example are crafted from luxurious 18K rose gold with polished finishes throughout. Wearing flat and comfortably on the wrist, the fluid case features a distinctive crown guard that has come to define the Ballon Bleu’s aesthetic. The dial recalls Cartier's all-time classic design cues including the elongated Roman numerals contrasting on a silver guilloche dial. Internally, the watch is powered by a mechanical movement with automatic winding. The calibre 1847 MC is equipped with a 42-hour power reserve.
