Tudor expanded its successful Black Bay range in 2016 by releasing a bronze version. Encompassing all the attributes that have made the model line a success, it added bronze construction and a more substantial 43mm case.

In 2019, an updated version was launched, as we see here, which features a handsome slate grey dial with a subtle gradient. An “Explorer” style layout sees Arabic numerals positioned at 3, 6, and 9 o’clock, which pays homage to early Submariners and gives it a nice vintage touch. An oversize screw-down crown, engraved with Tudor’s vintage rose logo, affords the watch 200m of water resistance. Housed inside the case is Tudor’s chronometer-certified calibre MT5601, which is equipped with a 70-hour power reserve.

Tudor supplies two straps with the Black Bay Bronze, both supplied in the sale. The first is made from distressed leather with contrast stitching, and the other is a fabric strap with gold-toned centre stitching - nicely complementing the bronze case. Also included in the sale are the watch’s box, guarantee card, booklet and swing tag. The watch shows light signs of wear, and the bronze has started to take on a characterful patina. Its overall condition is within the bounds of the seller’s A grading.

All watches offered for sale are searched and cleared against The Watch Register database and a certificate is available to the winning bidder upon request.
