This Porsche Design 1919 ref. 6020.3.03.004.07.2 was purchased new by the vendor from a Porsche Dealer in 2020. It’s accompanied by the display box, outer box, warranty card, booklet and swing tag. The watch is paired to a factory brown alligator strap with a deployant clasp. The vendor advises the watch is unworn and factory stickers are present on the case back and clasp. Its overall condition appears to be consistent with their ‘AAA’ grading.

Porsche Design’s 1919 collection debuted in 2016, introducing a distinctive angular case and a skeletonised lug structure. Incorporating the same high levels of engineering and timeless design as its name-sake motorcars, this example is finished in brushed titanium with a polished bezel. Porsche Design has incorporated curved and downturned lugs to give the watch an ergonomic fit on the wrist. The large knurled crown is both functional and purposeful in its composition.

The dial is inspired by the dashboard of classic Porsche motorcars, with a simple and highly legible layout. Large Arabic numerals are interspersed with baton markers against a dark green dial, with a date window discreetly integrated at 3 o’clock. Inside the case, the watch is powered by the Selita SW200-1 automatic mechanical movement with a 38-hour power reserve.

Porsche Design was founded by Professor Ferdinand Porsche, the mind behind the 911, and offers a range of design-led and technical products, including this example from the 1919 collection.
