Sell it with usThis one-owner Patek Philippe Aquanaut ref. 5168G-001 was purchased new by the vendor in 2020 from a UK authorised dealer. The watch is accompanied by its display box, outer box, certificate of origin and booklets. Light marks and swirls are visible on the case and deployant clasp and its overall condition appears to be within the bounds of the vendor’s ‘A’ grading.
In 2017, Patek Philippe celebrated the 20th anniversary of its popular Aquanaut line by launching the ref. 5168G. Maintaining the model’s distinctive look, it introduced a more significant 42.2mm case in 18K white gold, giving the watch increased wrist presence and a more contemporary look and feel.
For the first time on an Aquanaut, the dial is presented in a dark blue hue that comes to life as the light runs across it. The distinctive geosphere engraving is carried over from previous references, adding further visual interest in combination with lume-filled white gold Arabic numerals and hands. The attached rubber composite strap personifies the Aquanaut’s sporty nature and is paired with a white gold double deployant clasp engraved with the Calatrava Cross.
On the watch’s underside, an exhibition case back displays the calibre 324 SC. This automatic movement is elaborately decorated with a 21K yellow gold rotor and stamped with the Patek Philippe Seal. Timekeeping is regulated to -3/+2 seconds per day.
All watches offered for sale are searched and cleared against The Watch Register database and a certificate is available to the winning bidder upon request.
